Does Our Morality Derive from Natural or Supernatural Causes?

Andy Thomson always gives me those moments of epiphany where I go, "Oh yeah, that's so basic!" Great lecturer.

Why Does Religion Fear Knowledge? Mr. Deity Explains

Mr. Deity, aka Brian Dalton, gives a wonderfully comprehensible speech at the AAI 2009 conference on the egregious religious fear of knowledge, learning, and independent thinking. He talks about his resignation from the Mormon Church and explains how this similar thread of flagrantly illogical thinking plagues the majority of religious believers, but more importantly, elucidates why such a phenomenon is the case. Also there are some entertaining satirical skits in the course of the video.

I should like to state, that I agree whole-heartedly with the gist of what Brian is saying, and moreover if you took the word "Mormon"  out of his speech and replaced it with "Christianity" the facts would remain virtually the same.

Something to think about.
